Shimano Men's TR31 Triathlon Cycling Shoes

These are a great pair of bike shoes for triathletes. They go on and come off effortlessly and they have been incredibly durable, as I tend to abuse my footwear at times. These shoes also provide a good deal of comfort for those that go sock-less, and they provide excellent ventilation and drainage for wet feet. These shoes feel great barefoot and the fit was exactly spot on with my 48 size Shimano road shoes. I like the stiffness of the loop on back, so it won't collapse when grabbing at it. Strapping to the inside (pulling in instead of out) takes getting used to. Overall, for the money, can't go wrong with this tri shoe. (Posted on 1/12/12)

Having a tri shoe is so much easier for quick transitions than having a 3-strap cycling shoe. I noticed a huge difference in my transition times after making the switch. The vented fabric also made it great for going from swim to run with wet feet. I normally ride with socks, but due to the comfort of these shoes, I have been able to ride without them. I race primarily triathlons and I bought these shoes about 6 months ago when I got a new Tri Bike. After using 3 strap road shoes at my previous triathlons, it was awesome to be able to undo only one strap in transition. The shoes are comfortable and have held up very well. The only aspect of them I do not like is the direction of the strap. It straps toward the inside which means that sometimes the strap scrapes against the crank which can be a little irritating. Also it makes it slightly difficult to unstrap for running dismounts. Overall though a great shoe!! (Posted on 8/16/11)
